Beech trees: In the forest above Verzy you find a big number of strangely twisted beechtrees, les Faux. Why they have turned out so strangely nobody knows. What is known however is, that the phenomenon is extremely rare. In Europe you find it only in two other places. Verzys public parc boasts two of these trees.
