Cinderella in the gardens: The beautiful hortensia are widely spread in Verzy. The soils here contain a lot of chalk which may suit the bush well. In winter the flower withers, in spring - with they new shoots already growing below - they obtain their final gown, fragile and thin as the finest of laces.
